Based in our Eastbourne office, Nicole specialises in freehold and leasehold sales and purchases and advises clients locally and nationally on a wide range of residential property matters.

Alongside her core conveyancing work, Nicole will also lead the firm’s growing focus on lifetime planning matters linked to property, including equity release transactions, retirement properties, probate and LPA sales, declarations of trust, joint ownership arrangements, and transfers of equity following relationship breakdowns.

Career progression within the firm

Nicole joined SO Legal in 2019 and has progressed rapidly within the firm, becoming a highly respected member of the residential property team with an excellent reputation among clients, estate agents, brokers, and professional contacts alike.

Known for her approachable manner, strong communication skills, and commitment to client care, Nicole has become particularly valued for helping clients through significant property and life decisions.

Her ability to build strong working relationships across transactions has also played an important role in maintaining momentum on matters and generating repeat business and recommendations for the firm.

Hamed Ovaisi, chairman, said:

“Nicole’s promotion to partner is thoroughly deserved and reflects the exceptional contribution she has made to the firm. She combines excellent technical ability with outstanding client care and has become a hugely valued member of the team. Clients, introducers, and colleagues all speak incredibly highly of her, and she represents exactly the type of solicitor we want leading the future of the firm.”

Simon Moss, managing director, added:

“Nicole has had a fantastic progression since joining the firm and has built an excellent reputation within the residential property sector. Clients are often under significant pressure and facing major life decisions during the conveyancing process, and Nicole has a natural ability to make people feel supported and confident throughout. She is an enormous asset to the firm, and we are delighted to welcome her to the partnership.”

Nicole Hoddinott added:

“I am delighted to become a partner at SO Legal. It is an honour to take on this role, and I am grateful to my colleagues and mentors for their support throughout my time at the firm. I look forward to continuing to build relationships with clients and helping develop the firm’s lifetime planning offering.”
