Congratulations to all three trainee solicitors who started their new roles in April. They represent the latest in a long line of aspiring solicitors who have benefited from our paralegal-to-trainee scheme.
Since the programme started in 2016, we have awarded over 30 trainee solicitor opportunities, and almost all have successfully qualified as solicitors.

The role of training contracts in career development
A training contract is a two-year structured training period required to become a solicitor in England and Wales. Competition for these positions is fierce, as there are typically far more applicants than available roles.
Law firms often receive hundreds of applications for training contracts and have rigorous selection processes to identify the strongest candidates.
Candidates must demonstrate strong academic credentials, relevant law firm experience, and excellent interpersonal skills to stand out.
Simon Moss, managing director at SO Legal, said:
"We are delighted to announce Luke, Lauren, and Farhad as our newest trainees. We want to congratulate them as they begin this important stage in their careers and wish them every success. All three have demonstrated strong potential and commitment, and we are confident they will thrive during their training contracts.
