Sports clubs can play a vital role in the local community, so we are delighted to be able to support teams of all levels – from Sussex County Cricket Club down to grassroots football teams working with young people.

Not only do sports clubs help with physical and mental health and allow for the development of new skills, they also bring people from the community together.

Sussex County Cricket Club

SO Legal is a long-standing partner of Sussex Cricket. Founded in 1839, it is not just the oldest county cricket club in the UK but the oldest professional sports club in the world.

We are unable to host clients at the SO Legal Executive Suite at the County Ground this year – but our team has been cheering on the Sharks from a safe distance throughout the 2020 season.

Lewes Rugby Football Club

SO Legal is a headline sponsor of Lewes Rugby Club. The club does great work in the local community and is now able to host visiting teams for the first time since March 2020 under the RFU’s latest COVID-19 guidelines.

Following the success of a trial touch rugby event in September, the club will continue to hold tournaments every Saturday until clearance has been given for a return to fully-competitive fixtures.

If you’re interested in joining the club, contact James Halpin – solicitor at SO Legal and coach at Lewes RFC.

Ringmer AFC

Earlier this year, SO Legal completed the sale of Ringmer AFC’s old Caburn Ground for residential property development and secured them a new lease at a state-of-the-art development at nearby Kings Academy.

The new ground boasts a floodlit 3G pitch providing year-round training and match facilities. We are delighted to be the sponsor of Ringmer AFC’s new clubhouse and bar area – which is an important social hub for the local community.

Worthing FC Under-15s

SO Legal is proud to support several youth teams, including Worthing FC Under-15s who play in the Sussex Sunday Youth League.

The club is committed to providing a high quality, professional football development programme open to players of all ages and abilities from the surrounding community.

By working closely with local schools and grassroots clubs, they aim to promote the benefits of a lifelong interest in sport, help players to improve and provide them with a pathway into first team football at the highest level which they are capable of achieving.

Style Soccer Under-13s

SO Legal is delighted to sponsor Style Soccer Under 13’s who play in the Sussex Sunday Youth League.

The coaching staff at Style Soccer do a brilliant job encouraging local youngsters to play football and learn valuable social skills. Our sponsorship donation was used to buy new training kit for the team.
