In collaboration with global restaurant advisors Inter-Cater, our solicitors advised the London-based street food operator on the terms of a joint venture agreement, under which both parties to the contract agreed to promote and develop the success of the rapidly growing business.
The Orange Buffalo is currently accelerating its plans for both national and international expansion after signing its first franchise partner earlier this year, with more to follow in the UK and around the world.
This month, The Orange Buffalo is launching its second bricks and mortar site in the capital, on Argyll Street in Soho, to add to its permanent restaurant in Tooting and popular food truck locations in Shoreditch and Hoxton Square. The Argyll Street site will primarily operate as a takeaway location, with a hole-in-the-wall style kitchen and a heated terrace with space for 24 covers.
Adam Creasey, Head of Corporate and Litigation at SO Legal’s London office, said:
“We’re delighted to assist The Orange Buffalo team and wish them every success in their expansion plans. Joint ventures can be an effective way to manage and reduce the financial risk of a new business venture and be a great way to combine resources, knowledge, and skills, or to access new markets and territories.”
Sammy Weinbaum, Founding Partner at Inter-Cater, said:
“We are delighted to have arranged this JV partnership with Orange Buffalo – one of the most up and coming and exciting chicken concepts in the UK today. We have no doubt with its flagship presence outside Oxford Street Station the brand will thrive and go from strength to strength.”
